Golf resorts are never far away when you vacation in Graeagle.

There are four Golf Resorts located from less than a mile up to seven miles from downtown Graeagle. Each course has its own personality and challenges. Whether you are a low handicap or just looking for your annual game there is a course for you.

In all honesty I must tell you that I do not play golf. My comments about these courses are gleaned from conversations with the campers that stay in our RV Park. Most of the information will be statistics, some pictures, and which courses our campers like the most.

There are several opportunities as you read through this page for you to add your perspective on each of Graeagles Golf Resorts. Each resort mentioned here is a public golf course.

The view from the driving range at Plumas Pines Golf Resort is spectacular.  The view over the driving range and out to the mountains, is the best introduction to the beauty of Eastern Plumas County. As a golfer you really owe it to yourself to play this Course.

There are three separate mini Golf Tournaments put on each year by Guests who stay in our RV Park. They get together family and friends for a three day weekend. They play two days of golf and put together their prizes for the winners. They have great dinners together and just enjoy a real social weekend built around their passion for Golf. Most often they play both rounds at Plumas Pines, sometimes it is a Round at Plumas and a round at one of the other courses.

Coming back down the hill from Plumas Pines you will find Feather River Park Resort, this is a nine hole public golf course. The offices are located on Johnsville Rd. The course is 2,822 yards and a par 35 from the longest tee.

This course has a family oriented feel to it. There are Cabins on two sides of the course, a swimming pool, and tennis courts. The golf course is public, the other amenities are not, but they give you that family feel. Many of their guests return year after year to rent the cabins, play golf at their front door, and enjoy all the golf resort has to offer its guests.

This course is directly across the street from Movin' West RV Park. Many of our guests walk over on their first day here to play nine holes as a warm up for the next days play at one of the other courses in the area.

Graeagle Meadows Golf Course is just a short drive through the town of Graeagle. Located at 6725 Highway 89 this course is 18 holes. The course is 6680 yards from the longest Tees for a par of 72.

So what comments do we hear about Graeagle Meadows Golf Course?

If you like open spaces and a bit more forgiving course, then you will enjoy The Meadows. There has been a lot of work done on the course that has improved the greens and fairways.

I think that the open views from this Course are spectacular. You will see several of the mountains that surround the Mohawk valley. Playing back and forth across the feather River adds to the special feel and enjoyment of playing here.

As you come into Graeagle from Truckee your first view is the eighteenth hole with its impressive rock wall containing the tee box. When I see that green I always feel like I just made it home. It is such a welcoming sight. It is also a spot to watch closely for Deer at night. They really love the golf resorts.

Whitehawk Ranch Golf Course is a public golf course located on highway 89 about 5 miles From Graeagle toward Truckee. What I know about this course is minimal. The course setting is beautiful surrounded by pines and several other types of trees, including many water features. It is a Par 71, 6983 yard course.

Looking at its 4 ½ star rating on Golf digest it is a course you should make a part of your stay here in Graeagle. Four stars at Golf Digest make this an outstanding place to play golf. Five stars make it Superb. Golf at its best. Pay any price to play it at least once.

While not the least expensive course in our area, many of our campers make a point of playing this course at least once during their stay with us.

"Plumas Pines Golf" -Play High Sierra Golf at Plumas Pines Golf Resort. Golflink.com rates Plumas Pines at four stars. With a four out of five star rating they say it is "Well worth telling your friends to get off the highway and play here"..


"Graeagle Meadows Golf" -Play Golf at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course. One of four great golf courses in Graeagle. Rated in the top twenty Northern California courses it is well worth taking a few hours to play here.


"Whitehawk Ranch Golf" -Play High Sierra Golf at Whitehawk Ranch. This course is Dick Bailey designed. With a 4.5 star rating at golf digest it is considered an outstanding course to play Golf on.
